Apparently post-baby brain is worse than pregnancy brain. Who knew? I was in such a rush to finish my 40 gazillion loads of laundry and my grocery shopping that I somehow thought it would be a great idea to go to Costco while I left the water running in my bathroom. Not such a great idea. We came home to water pouring through the ceiling into the kitchen. UDK came to clean us up and dry us out. Thank goodness! It was such a mess! We had 12 large fans and 2 de-humidifiers throughout the house, and the sound was deafening. I was so glad to get them out of the house and get the repair work finished. Not exactly what I needed on top of having a brand new baby in the home!
This is me on my lousy birthday. Completely exhausted. Can you tell?!

Yucky! That is a crappy birthday! My sister's birthday was yesterday and when I called she said both her and her husband were miserably sick, but after reading this I think you would have taken being sick for 24 hours. It seems like every time I leave the house there's already a million things that I have to go back inside for because I've forgotten something else, so I can easily see how that happens!
I think you look cute. Did all that really happen on your birthday? That's really sad. And why were you doing laundry and going grocery shopping on your birthday?!?! True signs that you're an adult- birthdays are just another day.
Oh, Jess! That's awful. You'll have to take another day to really celebrate being 29 (again).
