Michael turned 8 this year. I can't believe my baby is 8! He is so sweet, and I just love him at this age. He is such a good boy, and is a great helper. He loves to play sports and is getting better each season. He especially loves basketball, and is begging to play football---but I'm trying to hold off as long as possible! He loves to read and play video games and jump on the trampoline, but mostly loves to play with friends.
We got to make a poster all about him to take to his class for a birthday spotlight. He was so excited. I think this is such a fun tradition. I love sitting down with the boys and talking about their talents and interests.

Michael got some fun presents this year. Nana gave him an awesome remote control car, and Grandma gave him the Lego set he was hoping for.

He was totally surprised by the golf clubs. They weren't on his list, but he was really excited about them. He said this was his best birthday ever! I love it when my kids are excited and grateful for the gifts they receive. What a cute kid!
Michael got to have a late night with his friends on his birthday. They did relay races and jumped on the trampoline, ate lots of good food and watched Star Wars. Fun stuff!
