Island Park and Yellowstone

For the past few years we have taken a vacation with Reed's family.  It has been so fun to spend time together.  The kids love to play together, and we always have several late nights with games and treats.  This year we rented a cabin in Island Park, Idaho.  There was a fire pit, and I think we made s'mores every single night!

Late night games are always a highlight, with the usual culprits either yawning from exhaustion or snorting in laughter! (You know who you are!)

We took a day trip out to Mesa Falls, which was just beautiful.

We also went to Big Springs.  The water was beautiful and clear, but we must have come at the wrong time of year, because there were no fish to feed! The water was freezing!

We also drove up to an overlook for a cool view.  It was so windy, I thought one of the kids might just blow away!

The kids LOVED the hot tub, and played in it every night.

We found a fun little diner with great food and ENORMOUS pancakes!

Robby and Leisha organized Minute to Win It games.

We also spent a few days in Yellowstone National Park.  I really loved Yellowstone, and thought it was a great place to take the kids.  However, they tired of it way before Reed and I!  I thought it was just beautiful and couldn't take enough pictures.  Reed wanted to make it around the entire loop so we could check it off our list as "completed."  The kids were cold and wanted to go back to the hot tub and s'mores!

This was a really great vacation, and I'm so glad we went.  I loved spending time outdoors and spending time with Reed's family who are so much fun to be with.  Can't wait for next year!
