Actually, we had a lot of fun over spring break, but I am tired, the kids are tired, and the house is Trashed. Notice I said Trashed? With a capital T? Seriously. Ugh.
Here's a little bit of the craziness, in no particular order.
1. Easter! Wahoo! We love all of the fun traditions that come with Easter. Especially coloring eggs, egg hunts and lots and lots of candy.
Great Nana hosted the festivities and the boys had so much fun---as always. They also got to hunt for eggs at Grandma's house and at the park. ---Okay, just a side note---Why does the city stuff plastic eggs full of choking hazards for kids ages 0-3? What is a child in that age group going to do with a mini eraser shaped like a chick, or a plastic ring with a whale stuck to it? They are going to shove it in their mouths and choke on it. Speaking of choking. . . Ty was finishing off his peanut butter sandwich in the car when I picked up carpool yesterday and choked on it. Like really choked. Could not breathe. I stopped the car and grabbed him out of his car seat and he was finally able to swallow it down and he started coughing and sputtering. It scared me to death. Time for a CPR class. Okay, enough of that.

This little one was very excited about the chocolate bunny he found in his basket.
2. The boys each got an inflatable punching ball from their Grandma for Easter. When we got to Nana's house on Sunday for dinner, Ty told Andrew that "We have punching bags at our house because we have anger issues."
3. Karate is over. Michael liked karate. A lot. He especially liked the medal he got at the end.
4. Soccer started up again.

8. At dinner on Sunday we were reminiscing about my parent's ancient refrigerator. The thing is really old, and at one point was an awful mustard yellow. My mom didn't like the color and so she dragged it out to the back deck and spray painted it white. It looks much better, but it's still old. I told her I had seen a picture of an old refrigerator that someone had wallpapered, and I told her I'd post it. What a fun idea. Makes a statement huh? I think Reed would pretty much kill me if he came home and found this in our kitchen, but I do like it!
She must really love the pattern, because she did the stairs too.
9. Okay. Time for a rant. What good is a blog if you can't rant every once in awhile? So here goes. . . Who is the Bozo (Bozo with a capital B) who thought it would be a great idea to make everyone dial the area code when making local calls? Aargh! I hate it! I know I will never get used to it. My small mind is not capable of holding 10 digits long enough to dial. Someday I might find the time to go through and reprogram all the numbers in my cell phone, but for now I'm just going to be royally bugged every. single. time. I try to make a call.
10. On the bright side, guess who has the funniest stake president ever? Me. That's right. He actually played a clip from SNL in the chapel during Stake conference last weekend. He said it was in hopes of being released, but I don't believe it. If you need a laugh, click here.

You seriously entertain me! I love it. And that clip...just awesome. Not as awesome as the man in our ward that gave a spiritual thought on Wife Swap during ward council, but really awesome nonetheless.
What a major busy week. Looks like it was great week, but I can imagine you are worn out! Happy Spring!
I hate the 10 digit dialing too! Totally obnoxious, maybe even worth moving for!! Ha-ha.
Watching SNL clips at stake conference was priceless. Glad I was not the only one because no one believes me when I tell them it happened!
I always love reading the updates with your family!
I hate dialing 801 to call a neighbor down the street, so lame!! Good job on the bag, it's cute!
Okay, so I'm ALL caught up on your blog!! Sorry about your basement woes. I think you'd look great with a haircut like Katie Holmes (not that you don't now). What is it with men and their love of long hair?
I think it's hilarious that the SNL clip was played in stake conference! Ha ha! Looks like you had a great Easter too. Great update.
