Both of my grandmas passed away this fall. They were both wonderful women who influenced my life for good. I've been thinking a lot about them, and will especially miss them as we head into this holiday season.
Gloria Mower Stadelbauer
March 11, 1927---September 13, 2010

Gloria Mower Stadelbauer, age 83, passed away September 13, 2010, after a brief and unexpected illness. She was born March 11, 1927 in Price, Utah to Ellis and Esther Mower. As per her wishes, she was cremated and a family gravesite service held. She is survived by her two daughters Kathryn (Bob) Allen and Christine (Christopher) Bramhall.
My cousin Dallas put together a great video remembrance. You can see it here.
Dorothy Bramhall
September 18, 1932---October 2, 2010
There is a time of peace and rest, and Dorothy Bramhall found hers during her favorite time of year on the beautiful autumn afternoon of October 2, 2010. She died unexpectedly following the initial series of treatments for a recently diagnosed cancer. Dorothy brought joy to all who knew her. She exemplified the central values of honesty, integrity, service, sacrifice, love and compassion. She had a unique ability to allow those around her to be themselves, and in return they were committed to her and loved her with a fierce loyalty. Dorothy skied, ran marathons, hiked and played tennis until bad knees and a sore back made these impossible, but she refused to give up being active despite pain and fatigue, and without complaint, until her very last moment. She was a masterful teacher, and a generation of friends from California, Guam, Israel and Utah have been challenged by her intellect and warmed by her love. Her home was unselfishly open to all, and she will be dearly missed by the many who called her home theirs for a while. Dorothy met her husband, Eugene, at UC Berkely. They were married on July 9, 1954, and two months later were sealed in the Salt Lake temple. Dorothy is survived by her husband Eugene, their five children, 22 grandchildren and beloved great grandchildren, Dorothy’s sister, Rhean Olson and many nieces and nephews. If you should wish to make a donation in Dorothy’s honor, her favorite charity was Enough to Spare (www.enoughtospare.org), which enables disadvantaged Ugandan children to attend school. A viewing will be held at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, UT on Friday, October 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9, beginning at 11:00 with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 that morning at the Edgemont North Stake Center, 4560 North Canyon Road, Provo. Interment will be held at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com

Jess I am so sorry about your Grandma's. So tough to lose them both at the same time let alone right before the Holidays. Wish I was there to give you a big hug.
Love ya!
They look and sound like incredible woman. I'm sorry that you lost them both so recently. I'm glad you shared a little about them though. Thinking of you Jess.
