Ten for Tuesday 4.13.08

1. The biggest and best news this week is that my little sister Alison got married! She married a great guy named Zach, and we are so happy for her. We had a great time at the reception, temple and dinner visiting with family and friends. I'll share more pics later. Some people say Alison and I look alike, some people say not so much. What do you think?

2. The flowers at Temple Square were GLORIOUS!
3. On Saturday I had one of the most peaceful moments I can remember in a long time. While we waited for the wedding dinner to start I got to sit outside near a water fountain and soak up the sun for a few minutes while Reed took the boys for a little walk. I love the sound of rushing water and the feel of sun on my skin. I wish I could relax like that for a few minutes every day.
4. Speaking of relaxing, my favorite thing about Mother's day was that Reed had no meetings in the morning! I actually got to sleep in a little and read a couple of chapters in my book. Of course, coming back to real life on Monday was not so fun. My house was a disaster after our crazy weekend.
5. Another favorite thing about Mother's day was that we got to talk to Reed's brother Robby on his mission via web cam. The look on Becky's face was just priceless when she saw Robby pop up on the screen. I wanted to take a picture, but my batteries were dead from all the wedding pics I took the day before.
6. Another favorite thing about Mother's day: Reed telling the whole ward that he wrote me a love letter. Classic.
7. I love this picture. It says a lot about Ty's personality right now.

8. Michael started T-ball last week! His first game was tonight, and it was such a hoot! The kids have absolutely no clue what they are doing and where they are supposed to run. Michael found himself at the bottom of a dog pile more than once, and he was usually the one to come out holding the ball. He hustled pretty well to get the ball, but he couldn't figure out how to throw it quickly. He would just stand there waiting and waiting and waiting to throw it. We'll have to work on that one.

9. Reed thinks Blake took his first two steps a few days ago. I didn't see it, and I haven't been able to get him to repeat it, but he's definitely on his way. Also, I think his first word might be bottle (ba ba), but again, I'm not so sure.
10. I am currently recovering from getting a Tetanus shot last Wednesday. I had to get one for my medical release for Trek this summer. Seriously, my arm hurt for almost a week, and I have an ugly bruise to show for it. Maybe I'm a wimp, but I will have more compassion for my kids the next time they get immunizations.

The first thing John said when he saw the picture of you and your sister was "Wow they look exactly a like!"

Congrats to Allison! I'm glad everthing went well.

The picture of Ty is adorable.

And I didn't know you guys were going to trek! We went last year and it's a lot of fun. Although one side of Todd's family is having a reunion in Wyoming this year and he says he won't go back there for at least 10 years. He had his fill.

I haven't always thought you and Alison looked alike, but you do in that picture.

I love all the firsts that babies go through. I think Tanner says "ma ma" and "ba ba". We need to get those two together.
