Absolutely nothing interesting happened this week. I sat down to download my pictures for the week, and my camera was empty. So, today's post will be a collection of randomness. I'm not sure that's a real word, but let's just pretend.
1. First and foremost, let me just say I never thought I would be so happy to see it snow. Oh blessed snow! I am so happy the disgusting smog is gone. . . for now.
2. My luck ran out today. Yesterday I was talking to a friend about Blake undressing in his crib, and she told me her little girl does the same thing---only she likes to smear poop all over. She's got the whole clean up routine down, except she couldn't get the stains out of her bumper pads. I gave her a brand new bar of Fels-Naptha and all my sympathy. Well, this morning I got to break out my own bar and clean up the poop that was smeared as far as Naughty #3 could reach from his crib. Being a mother is SO glamorous! Seriously though, if you're a mom and you've never used Fels-Naptha, go get yourself a bar. It will become you new best friend. Other than the fact that every time you use the stuff it is because you're most likely cleaning bodily fluid off of something or other.
3. Speaking of bad luck. . . We've got water in the basement. . . again. Not much, but enough to be a pain. I guess the sump pump we had in the window well was working overtime and finally bit the dust. I wonder if the sump pump is a casualty of the electrical problems we've been having, so I don't really want to go buy another pump and risk it fritzing out too. I think we're going to have to get a professional over here to deal with this mess. Seriously, it would be so nice if either Reed or I were handy around the house.
4. Reed took me dancing on Friday night. Can you believe it?! He found out about a dance class at the community center and we went. Before we walked in the door Reed said "I hope I don't see anyone I know." Too bad for him. We did see a few friends there, and we had a lot of fun. It was very basic, and the music was super cheesy, but it was a fun date. Reed knows that I miss dancing, so it was very thoughtful of him to find out about this class for us to go to.
5. I need a new knitting project. Not that I really need another project exactly. . . I've got plenty that I'm in the middle of. But, knitting is something I can do while riding in the car, watching TV, or gabbing with friends, and it's nice to be able to keep my hands occupied. I got a mailer from Lion Brand that had these adorable stuffed animals on it, and I thought these would be such a cute item to sell at a holiday boutique. Also, it looks like a great way to use up left over bits of yarn.

But since I have only ever knitted simple scarves I think I better stick with something a little easier. Maybe these arm warmers? My sisters have arm warmers and love them. It looks like these might be a quick project, so maybe I'll give it a try.
6. I saw this picture awhile ago and copied it because I liked the idea so much. I think it would look nice near the front entry maybe. My mom used to have a little tree like this that she decorated with small eggs for Easter and I loved it as a kid. I can't for the life of me remember where I got this picture, but I think it is a Martha Stewart design.
7. LOVE this dress. Not the price tag.
8. I want to go check out this place. Anyone want to come?
I found these pics on myspinningwheels.blogspot.com
9. I am totally in love with this song right now. "Lucky" by Jason Mraz.
10. I got an itunes gift card for Christmas that I need to spend. Should I buy random songs or an entire album? Any suggestions? Any songs or albums that you totally love right now?
That's all folks! Tune in for another riveting Ten for Tuesday next week!

Lots of good idea's. Dang that Blake. Good thing he is cute!
Start with individual songs and only buy entire albums if you're sure you're going to like EVERY song. I've rarely found an album where I liked every song - there's usually 2-3 I'm fine without.
Poop?? BAD NEWS!!! When you go to The Green Ant, take me with you!
Funny thing, I was just thinking the same thing about my itunes card last night and I was looking around for some things I liked. I had heard this song by Patty Griffin called Heavenly Day and I LOVED it, so I was listening to some more of her songs and I REALLY like her. I think I might have found an artist that mom will like! Got to keep this in mind for her birthday!
A dancing date huh? Sounds like fun , too bad my husband would rather get poked in the eye with a sharp stick than take me dancing. I'll just have to live that dream vicariously through you!
thanks for the tip about the soap. I hope I never have to use it. And I agree with others; go for random songs unless you find an album you love.
check out ingrid Michaelson. and sara bareilles. i think you'd like both of them. Also have you seen the music video for lucky? it's cute
That is the great thing about itunes. You have the ability to but just what you like and not get stuck with the songs you don't like. Buy individual songs. I wish I could go to the green ant with you. It looks cool. Where do you buy that stain remover bar?
