Ten for Tuesday 6.23.09

I think it's time I got back to my Ten for Tuesday post. It's been neglected for awhile! So, here's an update on a few of the things that have been keeping us busy lately (besides the vacations and birthdays!).

1. The window well projects is finally done. Do I hear a hip hip hooray? All of the gravel and dirt is gone. We still have mud to clean off the patio and fence, but we're so glad to be finished! Plus, with all the extra rain we've been having, we've had a perfect opportunity to test our work. No more water filling the window wells and threatening the basement! Wahoo! If you have and hour and a half, I'm sure Reed would be more than happy to share every painful detail of the project, but I'll spare you.

2. Ty had his graduation program from preschool. Always entertaining! He loved everything about preschool this year.

Especially his teacher Miss Sandi. . .

And a few of his preschool buddies, Cade, Annalee, and Gordon. Annalee's not in his preschool class, but she's cute and blond and Ty likes her a whole lot!

3. We took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate their birthdays, and they were in heaven! A room full of arcade games, and Mom and Dad say Yes! You can play every one! This is deifinitely one of Michael and Ty's very favorite places to go. Dad thinks it's pretty fun himself.

4. Soccer season came and went quickly. Michael is really getting better. He scored several times---although I think in his heart he's a defender. It's a lot of fun to watch.

5. Uncle Robby came home from his mission to Canada! It was so good to see him again and we're so glad to have him home.

6. Michael had his Kindergarten graduation program too. He had so much fun in Kindergarten and learned a lot. He's learning to read, and we think he is one smart kid!

He seems to be allergic to cameras as of late. . .

7. Michael has been playing baseball for the last several weeks. He's making improvements here too, and during the last few games he's had several good hits. I'm sure his favorite part about playing baseball is the treat at the end of the game, but this year he is a little more focused on the game, and a little less focused on making his teammates laugh!

8. My little brother Ryan graduated from high school. Congradulations!

9. We got the garden planted. But, considering we've had 4 hail storms in the past two weeks, I'm not sure if anything will actually grow this year. Seriously, I made 3 trips back to the nursery to replace plants that were destroyed by the hail, and I've given up. I may be making extra trips to the farmers market and begging zucchini from my neighbors.

10. Swimming lessons! We started the summer off with a bang by going to swim class every day. The kids loved it and made some good progress this year. Ty was so excited that he is finally old enough!

Till next time!

I am glad you are back. I was getting bored with nothing to read.

I saw "Ten for Tuesday" and thought, "Yippee!" BTW, Happy Belated Birthday. And, weird ghost story a little while ago. I think it was a ghost saying, "Look at these crazy lanterns they have nowadays!" And then you went and ruined all her/his fun by unplugging it.
