It's been a while folks! This was intended to be a "Ten for Tuesday" post, but I can't seem to get my blogging act together anymore. Some of this stuff is a little old, but I like to stay caught up, so here goes.
1. In September we took a road trip to Jackson Hole with my family. My dad rode in the LOTOJA (Logan to Jackson) bike race and we went to cheer him across the finish line. The total mileage for the race is 206 miles---through the mountains! He's done this race several times before, but I've never gone up to see him. It was a lot of fun, and I was so impressed with my Dad. Way to go!
The whole family!

2. A few weeks ago we were invited to go to the Cirque de la Symphonie. Circus performers and the symphony. Lots of fun! The circus performers were really incredible. Thanks for the invite Kimber and Brett! We had a great time!
Oh! I almost forgot. . . we had a David Archuleta sighting. He was sitting three (empty) seats away from Kimber. Although I'm not a huge Archuleta fan, I was slightly tempted to get an autograph for my friend Ali who LOVES him! It's always fun to see celebrities. Reed made fun of his "faux hawk" but I thought he looked cute!
3. We enjoyed soccer while it lasted. It seemed like a short season this time around. As always, it was a lot of fun to watch the kids play.

Michael.

Ty.
4. Progress photos:
These are actually a little outdated now, so I'll share some more soon. The end of this miserable project is in sight! Hip, hip, hooray!

5. Reed's been working some long hours. I think he needs a nap.

6. This is our new niece/cousin! She was born to Matt & Tiff on October 5th. Her name is Ella Kate, and she's a cutie!

7. We thought we had our water problems under control after our big dig-out-all-the-window wells-and-fill-them-with-gravel project, but no, we were wrong. Our water woes have continued, and we had a nice little sink hole going on under the patio. So, since we're rolling in cash right about now, we decided to rip it up, pour a new patio and extend it. The boys were more than a little excited about the mud in the backyard. Ugh! This was such a mess! When I caught them playing out there I decided they were already muddy and let them keep at it for awhile. Probably not a good idea. By the time I got them in the house they were SO muddy! The concrete was poured on Saturday, but it's currently covered in "blankets" right now to keep it from cracking in the freezing cold weather. Who invited winter anyway?

7. I got a new calling! I was released as a substitute primary teacher, and called to teach Relief Society. Some of you know this---but many of you don't, considering I still get called to sub every week! Spread the news!
8. Swine flu blues: Anyone else freaking out about all of the germs floating around out there? We've had A LOT of sickness in our neighborhood recently, I honestly thought I might hyperventilate when I walked into church and saw all of the visitors and children sitting on the stand for the primary program. I just knew there were sick kids sitting up on the stand because they didn't want to miss their part in the program. I took Blake home during nursery because I just couldn't bring myself to send him to class. He was mad. But, it gave me some peace of mind. It's probably good timing that I was released from primary---otherwise I might be showing up with little blue face masks for each of my kids!
9. I got to go with Ty to the pumpkin patch for his preschool field trip. He said it was "the best day ever!"

10. Overheard at our house:
Michael: Why the H*** do you look like a chicken?!
Uncle Matt: What the?
Apparently Michael has seen "Home Alone" one too many times.

Glad to see a post from you!
Fun to see the picture of your whole family. I had a hard time recognizing some of them because they've grown so much since I last saw them! And I love that Ty thought it was the best day! Yeah for Mom!
