Ten for Tuesday? What's that, you say? That's the blog post I used to write every week. That was before we started work on the basement. I am completely incapable of doing more than one thing at a time! Anyway, fingers crossed that our project will be done before Thanksgiving! Hopefully I can get my life back after that. More likely. . . I'll come up with a new excuse!
1. How about we start off with some cute Halloween pics? I was so lazy this year. I had a hard time getting in the Halloween spirit, so all the kids wore store bought costumes this year. The tight wad in me hates that I forked over so much money for cheap, imaginative costumes, but they were easy, and that is what I was going for this year. Plus, the kids loved them!
Batman Ty.
Ninja Blake.
Clone Trooper Michael.
Tough Guys.
Gypsy mama.
2. This year we got a ton of pumpkins from Reed's parent's garden. I never intended to carve them all. But, I went out for a couple of hours on Saturday morning, and when I came home Reed and the boys had cleaned them all out! They did all the dirty work, and I got to do all of the fun part! Don't I have a sweet husband? Anyway, I had about an hour, so I cranked these babies out. My favorite was the really big one at the top. People kept asking me all night if it was real. Yup!
3. Ty was so excited to go to his Preschool Halloween program in his costume. I loved hearing him practice his little songs and poems at home. Funny boy!
4. Blake and I got to go to Michael's classroom to decorate cookies for their Halloween party. Yum! Can you say Sugar Overload?!
5. Now on to projects. . . I thought that by now my backyard would no longer look like this:
But, it does. Someday it will be cleaned up?
6. Progress photos:
We're finally getting somewhere! The plumber and the electrician were supposed to show up to finish up last week. . . but they didn't. Then they said they'd be here this week, but so far no sightings. The back ordered carpet just may beat them. . . but I hope not. The window guy and the fireplace guy did show up though, so we've had at least a little bit of progress!
7. I got my hands on this last week, and read it in three days---which is really fast for me! Loved it! Probably even better than the first.
8. On Saturday Lacey and I went to the SYTYCD concert. LOVED IT! It is so fun to see these dancers in person on a real stage! Some of my favorite routines:
9. Blake is having a hard time adjusting to Daylight Savings time (me too). He keeps waking up super early and then falling asleep in random places. He conked out here right in the middle of his Leapster game. Cute! If only nap time were always this easy!

10. Overheard at our house:
Ty: I like to wear my dinosaur sweater to church.
Me: You're getting too big for that sweater.
Ty: How come?
Me: You keep growing.
Ty: That's because I sleep too much.
