Do you still print your photos? I just got myself caught up and printed about a year's worth of pictures. As I was sliding them into photo albums I started wondering if all of this work I was doing was totally out of date. Maybe I should just burn my photos onto DVDs and let the kids watch them on the computer or TV, and not even bother with photo albums anymore. It certainly would be cheaper. What do you do with your photos?
Photo albums taking up more and more space. . .
During my scrapbook days I was a big fan of Becky Higgins. I always loved her style. She has a product called Project Life that makes me think maybe I should give scrapbooking a second chance. Her kits come with coordinated journaling cards and stickers that are already cut to size. Then you can slide them into page protectors that are divided up with slots for photos and journaling. (There's also a digital version.) This project would still take a lot of time, but they are so darn cute! Do any of you use this product?
This is an example of the finished product. I'm not sure of the reference. I saved the image a year or two ago, but the link is bad now.
I'm still in the process of trying to organize all of the photos I already have printed. I've been chiping away at this project for a long time. Back when I did scrapbook I collected all kinds of stuff that would eventually go in albums. Photos got stashed in a box until I could get to them, and of course I never labeled them. For the longest time I used a camera that had no date function, so going back and trying to get all of that stuff in order has been a huge undertaking. I think I'm beginning to see the light! Maybe once I'm all organized with the old stuff I can consider doing something a little more creative with the new stuff. In the meantime, I'll just do my best to post on the blog now & then. I've enjoyed the format of blogging because it's so much faster and I don't have to fuss over the way my post looks. Plus, I always love getting feedback from friends. But, I'd really like to have a printed copy of my blog. I haven't yet found and easy way to do what I want. Has anyone else had any luck with that?

Have you tried to 'slurp' your blog into a Blurb book? You can check it out at blurb.com. I've made a couple and I like the quality of the book and the flexibility with the layouts. It still takes a lot of time, but not as much bookshelf space. But, I still print pictures, too. I like the real thing.
Adri,
Yes, I've slurped my blog before, but it took so much time organizing it onto pages that I gave up. Maybe I should try again?
Where do you get your albums? I like that they are all black and identical. Are they binders that you can put your own plastic sleeves in, or do they come with them.
