Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Reed wrote a Christmas card this year and I thought I'd share it here.
Happy New Year!

Blake joined our family May 25th. He was 7 pounds, 2 ounces and 21 inches long. He is in a really fun stage right now. He scoots all over the floor on his back and is really starting to enjoy playing with little toys. He loves when his brothers play with him, and absolutely lights up when Reed comes home from work.

Ty is quite the little 2 year old, although he thinks he’s 15. He is so delightful and friendly. He is really one smart little boy. He speaks well and knows how to get into all kinds of trouble. He loves to play with friends and torment Michael. He also gives great hugs and kisses.

Michael turned 4 in May. He has so much creativity and imagination. He loves to make art projects and play pretend—right now he’s in a pirate phase. He enjoyed playing soccer this fall and, thanks to Reed and his brother Matt who taught him to “use his body” while playing, was the cause of multiple funny incidents. Michael also got his tonsils removed this fall and has slept much better. Michael’s favorite activities are preschool, primary, and playgroup.

Jessica, in addition to having her third boy (only 2 more and we have a starting five), had nasal surgery to correct a deviated septum. Having the stents and gauze pads pulled out of her nose felt like her brains were being pulled out through her nose and was officially the worst experience of her life (yes, even worse than childbirth). Although Jessica spends most of her time chasing kids around the house, she likes to attend book club and playgroup and recently started a blog. She’s also excited about recently becoming a “minivan mom.”

Reed turned 30 this year. He continues to enjoy working at BTJD doing various corporate transactions (despite the occasional long hours). The thing he misses most since he graduated from college in 2004 is ESPN (specifically SportsCenter), since we still haven’t broken down to get cable. He has been thrilled about the college football season this year since there are no clear cut teams that should be playing for the national championship—bring on a playoff system! Reed most enjoys being with the family, regardless of whether it is at home, being in the car, at grandma’s house, or taking Michael and/or Ty with him on occasional Sunday afternoon visits.

Love, Reed, Jessica, Michael, Ty, and Blake
