Tantrums Collection

Who would think that this sweet face could be capable of such tantrums?! Let me tell you, this kid has got the tantrum thing down pat. I don't know where my sweet Ty went. In the last month or two he has just become impossible! Now don't get me wrong, he is still cute as all get out, but he seriously has cried more in the last month than he has his entire life put together. I don't know what to do with him. Half the time I honestly don't even know why he is upset, and I certainly don't know how to get him to stop screaming! He gets going, and he practically turns blue because he can no longer breathe. He's completely hysterical. I'm sure once again that this is the "Mother's curse" that my mom warned me about.

Last Sunday he completely lost it as we were getting ready for church. I put him in the car and decided I would take him to church and then let him stand in time out and calm down before going into the meeting. As I was dragging him up the steps to the church he dropped to the ground and I ended up stepping on my skirt and ripping a huge hole in it. I had to go into the chapel to get the car keys from Reed so I could go home and change my clothes, but I certainly wasn't going to drag Ty in there with me. He was still collapsed on the floor in between the double doors near the foyer. I left him there while I went to retreive the keys. When I came back there was an entire primary class (including the teacher) staring at him through the glass and wondering why such a small child had been abandoned. I got to explain that no, he wasn't lost or hurt, he was just throwing a fit. (By the way, this was the 2nd week in a row that we had created a scene at church). Anyway, I wrestled him into his car seat and let him sit in the car to cool off while I went in to change my clothes. When I took off my skirt I noticed the tag and thought "how appropriate." I now consider myself a "collector" of tantrums. I'll look back in a few years and laugh at this, right?
