A 4-year-old's mind

Sometimes kids are so funny. The following are snippets from conversations at our house yesterday:

morning
REED: Bye Michael. Have a good day. Don't watch too much TV.
MICHAEL: I won't.
REED: TV makes you dumb. Reading books makes you smart.
JESS: (rolling my eyes)

afternoon
JESS: Michael, why did you come out of your room?
MICHAEL: Quiet time is making me dumb!
JESS: No it's not.
MICHAEL: Yes it is!
JESS: Do you know what "dumb" means?
MICHAEL: No.

later
MICHAEL: Mom, when I suck on this popsicle will it go down in my neck to my tummy?
JESS: Yup. Then where does it go?
MICHAEL: Down to my feet?
JESS: Not quite.

How do you like the bruise on his forehead? He jumped into bed the other night and totally smacked it on the edge of the bed. Ouch! Right in time for family photos on Saturday.

This is a picture of Michael's "costume" that he made the other day. He is so creative!

That's a crack up! I love the excuses they come up with for not needing quiet time! Sometimes I'm really amazed by what they remember, especially if it's something I said!
