Reed and I got tickets to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat last night at a local high school. It was so much fun. That show is such a crack up. We saw this show a few years ago down at Tuacan and they had fireworks and live camels and one of the Osmond brothers was Joseph. Last night's show didn't quite live up to Tuacan, but we still had a great time. It totally brought back high school memories of musical productions. Ah, those were the days. . .
After the show Reed really wanted to stop at the Honda dealership and look at minivans. I didn't quite see the point since we're not really planning to buy one any time soon, but Reed is convinced that one of the cars is going to die on us soon (can't imagine why. . . 220,000 miles is nothing!), and we ought to be prepared. . . I told him "Fine, but we're not buying a van tonight." Well, an hour later the salesman had convinced us that NOW is a really great time to buy. So, what to do? We probably don't need the van right now. And I certainly don't need to be making any more major purchase decisions. The dishwasher has got me tied up at the moment---not to mention Christmas. But, I really hate to miss a great deal---especially on an item I know I will be purchasing eventually. And it would be nice to have the extra space. . .

I say buy the van! You have no idea how much you will love it. My, it is easy to spend money when it is not yours. :) I love the blog Jessica!!
So how did the salesman convince you that now is the time to buy? I agree with him, but Brian wants to wait until January before we join the world of minivan drivers.
I don't know much about car but I'm all for buying new things. Go for it! However, remember the time share incident....
Thanks for the reality check Lacey! The reason he said that now is a good time to buy is that the dealer is offering a deep discount so they can clear all of the 2007 models off the lot to make room for the 2008s. The discount is only good for vans they currently have on the lot, so the sooner we buy the better selection we have.
November and December is a great time of year to buy a vehicle if you buy that years model. Most of the time they have a cash rebate as well. But I fear I am not the to ask when it comes to buying things, I have a slight problem with shopping. :)
