Blake and Ty played soccer this fall. Michael chose to play football instead of soccer, and he was disappointed to find his soccer skills didn't keep up during his time off. Blake is starting to enjoy it more and be more aggressive, which makes it fun to watch.
Victory dance!
This was Ty's first year playing on a comp soccer team. He LOVED it! He has made such a good group of friends with his teammates. He has good coaches who have made a significant time commitment to the kids, which is really great. Ty is really good at soccer, so it was fun for him to play with other kids on his level and have really competitive games. The games were intense! I don't think I was prepared for the difference between comp and rec ball, but I'm slowly learning. This little team plays hard. But, they had a hard time getting the ball in the goal. They frequently lost to teams that they had out played, which was really frustrating. Overall, it was a really good experience for Ty. He'll play a little bit during the winter, but (much to his dismay) he's taking a break so that he can play basketball. (No rest for the sport-weary mom!)
