 We ventured out in the cold this year to visit Temple Square and City Creek.  Fun outing!

Gingerbread Houses

According to the kids, this is one of our best traditions. . . making gingerbread houses with Great Nana!  We are so lucky to have a great nana who is so involved with the kids and who does so many fun things with them.  We all love to go and visit. How she has the energy for all of this, I'll never know!

Michael

Michael is in fourth grade, and is such a great older brother.  He is so sweet, and eager to learn.  Here is a little bit about Michael:

• He is all about Balls, Books, and Boys
• Michael has had a really busy year, but any chance he gets, he wants to play with friends
• He's very athletic and loves sports
• What a happy kid!
• Loves to Photo bomb my pictures
• Responsible 1st child
• Finally old enough to leave home alone occasionally!
• Smelly feet!
• Bad allergies during spring and summer - when his eyeball swelled up it really freaked me out!
• Enjoying scouts
• Naturally curious and eager to learn new things
• Gets frustrated when things are not easy
• Getting better at the piano
• Loves to read
• Enjoys fantasy books like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.  Currently reading the Hobbit and waiting to read Candy Shop War 2
• Loves video games

Ty

Ty is coming into a really great phase. He is a fun kid and a good friend.  He is really learning a lot in school, and he's involved in some fun activities that keep him busy.  Fun facts about Ty:

•  He has really improved his reading skills this year
• Loves to read funny books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate
• Loves math, and was so proud to find out he was #1 in his class for passing timed math tests
• Just got a WOW ticket from his teachers who said "He has great ideas and cares deeply about doing his best ALWAYS!"
• Started playing both comp soccer and comp basketball this year
• Loves playing with friends
• Started taking piano lessons in the fall - he's good at memorization
• Loves candy!
• Went through a phase when he wanted to be called Chewbacca
• Totally into Beyblades and Hot Wheels    
• Plays so well with Ethan
• Keeps asking if it's time to get braces yet
• Fearless                            

Blake

Blake is 5 years old, and such a delight.  Don't get me wrong. . . he gets into his fair share of trouble. . . but, he is so full of life and imagination. I just get such a kick out of him right now.  What a fun age.  Here are some fun things about Blake:

• Loves going to Kindergarten
• He's a ladies man. . . loves his school and primary teachers
• Learning to read and spell
• Getting better at soccer and basketball
• Loves to color, draw, and cut paper
• Lost 2 teeth!
• Turned into a little fish this summer
• Loves Legos - especially Ninjago
• Doesn't know his own strength ie. frequently plays too rough with smaller kids
• Loves electronic games and TV
• Constantly torments Ethan
• Was so excited when the elf came to visit this December!
