2. Michael had his first soccer game of the season! He's definitely made improvements over last year.
4. Last night for FHE we filled water bottles for our food storage, and went through our 72 hour kits. The kids were such good helpers and were so excited to show off their muscles!
5. Does anyone else think this whole 72 hour kit/food storage thing is complicated and time consuming?! Does anyone know where I can buy chlorinated lime for "sanitation purposes?"
6. I love Conference weekend! We made pancakes for breakfast and Reed took the boys for a walk in the afternoon. I wish every Sunday could be so refreshing. My favorite talk was from Elder Ballard.
7. Poor little Blake has been absolutely miserable with a cold and shall we say "tummy troubles." Valerie gave me some stuff called Lactinex that has helped quite a bit and has made the situation a lot more bearable than when he had his last bout of it about a month ago. I'm sure it would help even more if I could actually get him to eat it all. Why has no doctor ever told me about this stuff?
8. I have to give credit where it is due: Reed whooped me with our brackets this time around.
9. I volunteered at the mill last week and spent about four hours putting bags of mashed potatoes into boxes. At first I thought, "Wow. It's going to be so nice to have a break from the kids all afternoon. I should sign up for this more often." By the end I was counting down the minutes till clock out time. I was so exhausted and bored! The mill was so noisy that it was hard to even hold a conversation, but at least I had Lacey there to keep me entertained. Being a stay-at-home mom is hard, but at least there is a bit of variety and entertainment every day! It might be awhile before I go back for another assignment. Sorry Lacey!
10. Last night's dinner conversation was full of Michael and Ty trying to make up jokes to tell. You know, the ones that make not a lick of sense, but incite hysterical laughter from the one telling the joke. Michael was telling totally nonsense knock knock jokes, and I thought I'd tell him a joke I remembered from when I was a kid.
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Orange.
Orange who?
Orange you glad it's not a banana?
Michael obviously did not get the joke, because this is how he repeated it:
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Lime.
Lime who?
Lime you glad it's not a banana?!

Did you really have to tell me that? You could have just said you were busy! Possibly the longest 4 hours of my life!
I loved Elder Ballard's talk too. I always like those "women are great" talks. Yes I agree, 72 hrs kits are complicated. We get to update ours next FHE.
Michael looks like such a studly athlete in the first picture. I love Conference weekend. Its just so cozy yummy comfty. I told Chuck that we should think about being Baptist or something so we can watch church on TV in our PJ's every week. HEHE
I should get my act together and start storing water too. We've always justified it by saying if we were desperate, we have about 4 fresh water lakes within a 5 mile radius of us that we could boil.
I can't believe you have a son old enough to play soccer!
Dallin went to Miss Sandi's preschool, too. You'll love it. My favorite thing she did was have the kids act out nursery rhymes and fairy tales. So fun!
